RIP Albert Uderzo. As a child I much preferred clear-lined Tintin to Asterix; only in adulthood did I appreciate the utter genius of his creators Goscinny & Uderzo. They and their translators are now at the start of almost every language learning journey I make.
Recuerdo devorar loas álbumes de Astérix en la Biblioteca del Hospital de València. Todos los sábados, pasaba la mañana en su sección infantil disfrutando de su lectura. Yo era, claro, más de Astérix que de Tintin. No entendía entonces la maravilla de la obra de Hergé.
