My painterly work usually leans super hard on value. I'm pretty happy to pick vibrant, saturated colors when I make inked work, but my painted stuff is usually too conservative. So this was a good exercise for me.

I saw some other artists post this & thought I'd do the same. Art from Feb/May/Nov. (I will post a version too).
While I enjoy painterly work every now and then, I don't think I'll do more unless commissioned. I want to keep a more consistent style starting next year!

Lovely!! So many different styles! I had an attempt at a painterly phase when I exclusively used Corel Painter and lurked on the CA forums. Then had the 'I'm gonna do vis dev' thing in college, but I think I've been generally consistent in theme, it's just more anime now.
