In the Northern Federation of Pagnus, the massive Axe of the Gods pierces the clouds above the nation. Mines with an abundance of ore dot the landscape, and many of the realm's metalworking and construction techniques were born here. It is a very militaristic nation.

New sauropod dinosaur w/super long cervical neural spines! Very cool, but important to note only one long-spined vertebra is preserved--most of neck reconstruction is hypothetical (although plausible). Great skull w/this fossil, also...lots of useful data!

The Bell Rock lighthouse was first lit 1811. John Rennie was engineer but it was Robert Stevenson who designed the lighthouse and spent 4 years on site during construction. The design was based on Smeaton's Eddystone lighthouse.

Day 862: Sui-no-Sato Tower! Tonight's result was more of a study in construction than color. I kept it simple, but played around with mirroring and careful lines. Honestly I kinda liked how it turned out! It was simple but once again kinda captured what I was hoping for with it!

. ! Always been my go-to artist for studying cum rendering tbh. Just incredible how they do it. Same with fluff and fur. Just, wild good construction and linework overall

In my marketing/design job, I always try to make the outcome much more important than process. But in my illustration, I take an almost completely opposite approach. Polish vs deconstruction. Any other artists out there like that?

~Lyla's Lecture~
Here's a reconstruction based on info we have of a woman from long ago named "Whisper"...or "Wisp", reports are a bit fuzzy. She was a mercenary trained in unarmed combat, who loved animals. She looks kinda shy...

A great new reconstruction by for the recent paper out on agnostids from the Burgess Shale. A nice example of how helpful paleoart is for making your work accessible to scientists, media, and the public in general, especially in

After a long weekend out of town, I was finally able to finish my latest reconstruction of the derived rhynchosaur Hyperodapedon. Was somewhat prompted to do this after seeing how few reconstructions there are on Google; really surprising considering how awesome it is!
