i usually simplify mine down to shapes because i would sit at my desk for hours if i tried doing much else lol;;; i do something like this where i draw the faces first then start with the brim and build it from front to back, then transform the sketch as needed for perspective

Ofc! Below are some of the examples I have! For beaks I stick to rounded shapes and the faces are p flat/squishy! Claws/talons are similar what I’d draw for dragons or demon based designs! I add ears to mine often but it’s not rlly necessary! Here’s a example of a owl and crow
