Just a terrific ending, as Sue has to learn she won't get what she wants by beating up Dr. Doom.
Again, this run might be a downer, but it is a very well-told downer.

When Robinson was promoting the book, he was asked "hasn't this been done" and he said "yeah, but now it's my turn to do it my way." And I think it suffers from feeling familiar, but you have to appreciate how well crafted it really is.

I always love these moments of quiet intimacy between Reed and Sue.
Also, as a scientist, Reed should know the sugar won't keep the kids up all night. Sugar making kids "hyper" is part placebo effect and part observer bias. The caffeine in chocolate may have some effect though.

The 1st page - Sue at the desk with all the negative space - and the DPS of the FF going into battle against Fin Fang Foom are both amazing artistically.

One reason I didn't love the run originally though is because it is, for the most part, a downer, right from page one.
