Actually pretty happy with this little still life practice I did. I'm determined to start painting again in earnest this year. Drapery is a challenge and a half but this was oddly relaxing

Every time I write off John Singer Sargent for being all about superficial drapery and sleeping with his subjects, I come across a painting of his like this...THE MOSQUITO NETS (1908) at has wispy visible brushstrokes making the image seem very spontaneous.
