Its name looks like a misprint but there really was a Ford Tierra, built by the company's outpost in Taiwan, Ford Lio Ho Motor. This model was the country's 1999 Car of the Year. Naturally, like most Asian Fords, it was based on a Mazda, the then-current 323.
