One of the factors I feel causes Sonic fandom stigma against the Archie Sonic comics (especially Penders and Bollers) is the fact that many of its breed of science fiction and fantasy tropes are specifically rooted in the Dark Age of Comic Books, particularly comics of the 1990s.

#SciFiDaily 1950s British comic book and pulp artist Ron Turner is new to me, as is the magazine whose cover he painted. The cover has all the expected sci-fi pulp tropes except a spacebabe & it would definitely catch my eye. I particularly like how space becomes a pointing hand.
