just found these old designs i made for a contest the creator of fear and hunger: termina did . The winner would've had their design put in the game. Sadly i didn't win but i had a hell of a time trying to replicate his style for these sprites. Monster design is always fun ❤️

Looking at early concept art for the Tarutaru race in FFXI, the race that Lalafell in FFXIV are based on. They had a variety of more fae-like designs, but you can also clearly see the main inspiration for them being the classic Black Mage sprites.

The premise of Hime's lore is intentionally dark and supposed to be a tad gruesome. But I'm thinking of, if I ever release one, doing the lore video old gba game style with sprites.. But in the style of the old harvest moon games because I adore the art style.
