The rope that circles behind Hyakka is known "nio dasuki" (仁王襷). "Tasuki" are cords used to tie back kimono sleeves for work. A larger-than-life hero from kabuki theater might wear very exaggerated versions of these cords. Kozuki Oden in wears them as well.
