Cynthia Martin does not get the credit she deserves for amazing character design. I love all of these, especially Lumiya the Dark Lady. Lumiya looks unique (not a Vader rip off like so many others) and awesome. Martin was way ahead of her time with the manga influences.

Another big influence although I didn't discover his name until years later was Miles Teves. His classical style Jorune images were unlike anything else in the paper RPG market. He is also a fantastic film concept artist (Legend's Darkness!).
