I still think this is the best large therepod I’ve ever done.
I’m actually the most happy with the scales and keratin on the lips anatomy wise, but artistically definitely the feather texture.

I commissioned for some cool line art of one of the characters from my game, and with his permission I filled in the colors and did a bit of the shading. Plus I made a few little things like the frame or the canvas texture.

I practiced how to properly color metal just for this model, and I'm proud of how it came out. The wear and tear is consistent, and you can tell its metal.
I just realized how much detail you could put in just a 3d texture. Mora your model is super detailed and I love it.

Kobayashi & his DoP (Yoshio Miyajima) treat each frame as though it were a painter’s canvas, delicately building layer upon layer of light, shadow, colour, texture. One can visualise them taking a step back to admire the separate pieces, before painstakingly gluing them together.
