Tested Timelapse and see how my computer handles 4hrs and 30 min. of drawing and compressing it to 60 sec. I also wanted to remember how to draw on CSP I am... very happy.

I love drawing Iris, if that wasn't obvious. She's ranked behind Julie in terms of my favorite OCs and I can keep drawing her without getting bored. Seeing her design grow over time has been wonderful.

But she's keeping that Lass aesthetic, no one's gonna stop me. 😎

Once I started drawing realistically, I wanted to bring out Iris' physical charm. She's meant to have a "girl next door" type of feel to her, being a good mix of cute and pretty while also having a side of beauty to her. Probably a bit of valley girl in her somewhere.

Upon ditching the FE-inspired design tropes, Iris ended up with a total overhaul to her basic armor design. She became a light cavalry fighter, swooping in and out of combat quickly (taunting enemies as she goes) and got more practical looking gear. (read ALT notes for details)

One of the things I loved doing while drawing Iris was giving her different clothes, which eventually became a secondary trait - her love of fashion and being trendy in her circle of friends, helpful when flirting with boys! It bled into her normal armor design after a while.

Iris willed into existence around 2007, based wholly off of a Lass Trainer encountered in Mt. Moon in Pokémon FRLG of the same name. The look was cute and I wanted to try and adapt it into an actual character.
