sometimes the drawing process involves... problem solving.... had a difficult time conveying that this is a scrawny little kid wearing an adult-sized shirt. made him look awkwardly proportioned, gave up and just redrew all his panels with his shirt open
Interesting discovery:
In artwork for Mario's Tennis, DK Jr appears as an Adult, just like he does in Super Mario Kart.
However, in-game, his design matches more closely to his design in games like DK'94, where he is a child. Notice his proportions, eyes, and lack of sideburns.
