I've learned about this Japanese fairytale called "Issun Bōshi" this week and it reminded me so much of Bojji. Issun Bōshi was a boy, born only as big as a thumb, who went on a journey with a needle for a sword and even slayed a demon! I wonder if it's a reference

I create empowering fantasy art for book covers and anywhere magical stories are found. I use symbolism and supernatural elements to explore narratives and I am most inspired by mythology, fairytales, nature, music, and ethereal subjects.

✨🌸In my head I see a place
And it looks like the fairytale
And I hope to be there some day
Maybe I'll see your face
It's only you, only you
There's no looking back now
I'll stay here, stay here🌸✨ https://t.co/VdC3BMPIYr

Bluebeard’s secret, locked chamber is burned in fairy-tale memory. Perrault’s French, 17thc version is the tale we know. It haunts us: his murdered wives stowed away & hidden in that secret room, the bloody key -the symbolism & histories are rich. (See below 🗝)
