I tried drawing me as PKMN trainer in the Pokemon style. Had to use a base, as I suck at imitating art styles 😂 Added my partner Pokemon for the second one, also traced from some official art though, to keep the ‘official style’ look going 😂

By your logic, this is "traced then". The pose is very similar with subtle changes in them. It's not very creative, but that's not tracing.

Using a similar pose is not tracing. Only Big is the exception because I couldn't fit him. Everyone else is different.
