Found some guides on google.
I've personally found that outlining the shape then cleaning it up helps.
Most are trianlges with top cut off. Then add a triangle in different direction.

I sketch & then go underneath the sketch and outline it in color, and then fill in color details little by little (each color in a different layer.. so many layers)

Usually I color in the eyes first too so it gets to look a little funky at a certain stage bahah

So after I realized I mixed a couple of things lmao I have finished the first one! Took FOREVER to get a nice transparent of this since Krita put a weird pink outline on everything and it bothered me way too much and everything else just muddled the quality.

You can still post to show the progress in parts every day even if it's small amounts. It's an idea of a Yui drawn over a few days, so you're still drawing daily Yuis. Tomorrow's Yui could be an outline and the day after it's a different Yui as it's improved. A bit like so

Main things that needed updating;
Widen the ears and braid
Make the fur actually white and color correct the pinks
Change necklace to choker, brighten pendant colors
Add white outline

A small detail so far of the drawings I have made, the thick outlines definitely use to be a thing I tend to do a lot and didn’t feel confident of doing them much
But going back to it I really love how I polished this style, I hope this is my art style in some ways

Yesterday was Angie's birthday yesterday and I wanted to do something for her!! I also tried and draw without outline and I guess I did use it a bit- I didn't like it at first but there are so much things I can improve on! I had fun while making this! Happy b'day Angiiee!!~
