Despite this year having been rough for me mentally, I made a lot of progress with my art this year. I learned how to work with color values and lighting (although I still need to practice a lot) and put more effort into drawing backgrounds as well.

10 minute pause and paints..should start doing more of these again. A great exercise to get warmed up. Most of these are from the ballad of Buster Scruggs. Such a hilarious and interesting movie. Check it out on Netflix.
