If Osiris has the demigod heart and Anubis ascended without a heart, how does he think since it's a new body without a heart?
New body = new entity, ib = mind/brain, therefore the old heart wouldn't apply. But then these panels got me thinking. +

In the beginning, I debated if god-Anubis had his heart back, had a new heart, or no heart. When Osiris forces him to ascend, we see the rotting body being being pumped with lotus. We don't see any indication of a heart being exchanged. That would also mean Osiris has control+

In simple terms, the heart/ib was considered the brain/mind in ancient Egypt.
I believe Anubis' demigod heart still exists in the present, but was once in the clutches of Osiris back when it was replaced with a blue lotus. +
