Some of the most impactful parts of the story, I think, are the refugees' interviews. To hear not only their experiences, but their own hopes for their lives and futures. I remember being struck by Shamsun's story about the time she arrived at the Aceh shores, how vivid it felt.

It was really important for us (and UNHCR also told us this beforehand) to depict the strength and resilience of these refugees, even in dangerous and helpless situations. We want to get people to care and help, but not exactly in a "tugging heartstrings" way.

My contribution to ‘s project with to bring to life his poem What You Need to be Warm, which helps raise funds for refugees in winter. I could never let go of the hand sewn blankets my grandmother made me, no matter how thin and frayed.

Hi, I'm not the dark lord, but you can find the said bears in Thor 4. Thor had evacuated the gentle psychic bears into Asgard. Apparently the Asgardian senators view those cuddly bears as a threat to other refugees(jellyfish&grasshopper alike), and Thor thinks that's ridiculous?

Huguenot refugees escaping to England in the 17th century had no choice but to travel across the sea. We don't have any contemporary images but imagine a typical scene in our galleries The Sea
