Today was cleanup grind day. 308 bones, 34,391 Faces!

Fully modelled clothes, body, etc, no body culling and got that low poly count! Hell yeah for 100% scratch, way more optimized than any kitbash.

Modelling and skeleton phase complete. Next is Rigging.

... source would be the opengl version because it's more powerful with it's rendering but it hasn't been optimized for this and as a result, software's more accurate to what the artists want and doesn't contain visual bugs.

Not much apparent progress, but pathfinding was optimized, rivers flow better (almost properly), and unique regions (b/w image in there) are ready to be generated. The world is soon to be ready for vegetation (in all 37 biome types).

trifill😙has been my workhorse for all my 3d games up until now.
is mainly convex quads, well suited for an optimized edge renderer, shaved between 2-8% cpu per frame. Yay!

The textures are terribly bad. In a city or another small place, I don't care, but in the wild areas, Mario sunshine has better water and the ground is ... The display distance in the wild areas is bad, but the worst is in town. It's not logical, Let's Go were more optimized! 3/6

from what i can tell—twitter at least—is taking your input and creating a speed/mobile optimized output. so if you bounce out a 200DPI JPG set to no loss, they still convert it to a lossy JPG or web format.

also i think they're turning transparent backgrounds into white now, too

1 - Why the hell is this game not running at 60fps at the lowest quality and a resolution below 1080p?

2 - How the hell is this game using 100% of my gpu when it's set on the lowest overall quality?

3 - How can a game be so poorly optimized?
