I worked on this over the week I didn't think I'd finish it. I had to use my arm as a reference lol The hair wasn't as bad as the arm even with the reference. It doesn't have a lot of movement aside from the hair and arm but I'm happy with it.

One way I look at Sonic's quills is from the angle taken when drawing fire and smoke. Poor drawing below for reference.

Would this fire & smoke hold this precise shape if it were brought into the real world? Likely not - this drawing simplifies the smaller details and nuances.
