Since fossils don't preserve soft tissue, it's hard to tell what dinosaurs might have looked like. Many artists just leave off possible feathers, quills and skin flaps. But if we drew modern animals the same way - well, baboons might look like this. 🖼️: https://t.co/kmWy3LBW5J

Lepidodendron: or 'the scale tree" was a genus of primitive, vascular, tree-like plant related to the club mosses. They reached heights of over 30m (100 ft), with trunks over 1m (3.3 ft) in diameter. They thrived between 359-299 MYA.

Hanging with the most complete skull of at 's paleontology collection while at Found at , this massive had canines the size of soda cans. This is, hands down, my favorite mammal fossil ever!

Every time someone tells me “crocodiles are living fossils, they have never changed in millions of years” I go and reconstruct one of the MANY odd looking pseudosuchians (croc-line archosaurs) that will appear in my book

It's not a garlic. Or maybe it is?

Inaria is a shallow water thingy that lived 550 million years ago. Its fossils have been found in Australia and Russia. It's a ~mysterious~ creature but paleontologists suspect it might be related to corals and jellyfishes.

Both fossil specimens of Prejanopterus show a snout curved to the left. If this is not distortion of the fossil, Prejanopterus is surely one of the weirdest https://t.co/OJgmPKFOga

And a continuation, with the last four character, in order Guhnash, Pauleen, Joe Wildwest(from Champions), and Dalhia(From Frontier). If you notice you see how my art changes over the months it took to make these.

As a homage for the 10th Anniverary of the first Fossil Fighters game being released in Japan today, I have made fanart for a few of my favorite characters in the series. From begining to end they are Duna, Raptin, King Dynal, and Rosie

Almost forgot here's some of azhdarchid pterosaurs wandering over a riverbank, seen from above. Their pacing matches that of the azhdarchid ichnofossil, Haenamichnus, one of the only pterosaur tracks with an ID beyond 'pterosaur indet'.
