I made an artwork based on a friend's original character.

(BTW this is the version without a background. I will work on it soon)

Ok, this still feels unfinished to me, but I gave up trying to do a background. That’s a learning experience I’ll save for another day.
Regardless, enjoy this new pretty boy

Ascension (Excalibur). An oil painting I was commissioned to do in late 2019. The legendary story of how Arthur received his second sword, Excalibur, from Lady of the Lake. Merlin in a boat, Kamelot in the background. What else do you see?

I don't do big pieces like this too often but I wanted to draw a more complex background.

Me: *has dozens of unfinished arts, some commissions to finish, rigging to finish, a whole ass short movie to do at school*
Also me: I need new Holly ref. And add Sui. And a complex background. Yes, perfect.

Enjoy some work in progress that may or may not be finished one day

Naw.
----------------------------------------------------
Finest the outline tidily.
pros: The outcome REALLY is better.
cons: No time for background.
Solution: Need more speed practice.
Conclusion: Don't care, still fun.

Rarity measures a hesitant Silver. I told TheInsaneDarkOne as a fellow Sonic fan when commissioning, “Rouge discovers Rarity’s chest of gem in the background. You can imagine how she would react.”

I think this run’s one glaring weakness is how it uses Wonder Woman, both in the very male gaze-y art in the first 2/3 of the story and in how often she’s regulated to the background. This, however, is a Very Good Wonder Woman moment.

Finally settled on the colors for these two, the one behind is a bit transparent so she changes with the background.
