one of the ways i check my composition and lighting is to use the threshold filter in photoshop to simplify my piece into shapes. a piece with strong shapes will read at the simplest level.

i used a common composition method that uses triangles for one of my most recent pieces

Hey people who have trouble with posing, here’s a tip:

If you have 3D programs like Gmod, SFM, etc. You can try using 3d models or ragdolls as pose references for specific angles you want.

There were 900 different angles you could have done with this. It was clear from the very beginning that the best thing you could have done to fix Asami's glaring character issues in LoK was to turn her heel.

Literally just do the Zuko Story Arc from LaB but do it backwards.

I highly recommend it! Started learning blender a few months ago and it’s been great! It’s nice being able to quickly block things out, play with camera angles and lighting before spending hours sketching out something you ends up tossing.
