Design Changes:
-Knuckles' outline has been changed to a darker red so that he appears better on more saturated screens (pic for comparison)

This checks out. It becomes more apparent when you isolate the colours from the background and outline it some more. I realized a lot of this illusion has to do with the light outlines on the left image vs the black ones on the right.
