Some of the many concept sketches I made for Dances Up Earthquakes. I was given the suggestion of an "alternative centaur" spirit with extra limbs.
We ended up settling on a giraffe inspiration, but didn't want it to be too literal. (First image, upper right corner was chosen)

Ooh this is a really neat idea! My headcanon has always been that the Fissure Dragon looked similar to Miklan's Black Beast form in Houses: i.e. a landbound quadruped (because fissure makes me think earthquakes and chasms). Like a crocodile or gator or Komodo dragon but spikier.
