Honestly just google random images and if I like it Im gonna use it, otherwise I just build the pose from basic shapes.
I dont bother with Sonic style unless I really feel like it, so I just draw Sonic characters with necks and stuff.

Noodle arms are a pain to draw, sorry 😓

After finishing the sketch, I draw all the major shapes on their own layers. (As you can see, I'm just picking random colors during this stage. I'll change them later.) After that, I lock all my layers so I can't draw outside the shapes.
