Stegosaurus (Roof Lizard) is from Late Jurassic North America and Portugal! People used to think it had a second brain in its hip area after an empty space was found in the spinal cord, but it was likely for a different purpose like storing energy!

Dino Fact!

Chialingosaurus (Chialing Lizard) is a stegosaurid from Late Cretaceous China! Like Tuojiangosaurus, it had a distinct look so they could themselves apart from other stegosaurs! Its spikes ran all the way down its tail instead of just the end!

Dino Fact!

Tuojiangosaurus (Tuo river lizard) is a stegosaurid from Late Jurassic China! Its backplates were narrow and taller than most stegosaurs, likely so they could tell each other apart from other stegosaurs they lived with like Chialingosaurus!

Dacentrurus (Very sharp tail) is a stegosaurid from Late Jurassic Europe! It was technically the very first stegosaur ever found! It originally went by the name Omosaurus, but the name was already taken by a prehistoric crocodile!

The 3rd dino in my poster is the Stegoceras. I struggled with this one, I knew I wanted it to be camouflaged but I had a hard time executing my idea. I went off in a few directions before coming back to my original idea inspired by the coat of a juvenile tapir,insta for full list

I REALLY love how the "evil dino trio" in s2 were given nicknames as references to species names.
Armatus is named after the dubious species Stegosaurus "armatus"
Gigas is named after its synonym Manospondylus gigas
Maximus is named after the dubious species Triceratops "maximus"

Früher war es stets der Stegosaurus.
Seine gemütlich wirkende passive Art ist einfach sympathisch.

Heute finde ich den Iguanodon am spannendsten.
Er hatte daumenartige Klauen und konnte außerdem sowohl auf 2 als auch auf 4 Beinen laufen.
Cool!
