I get what you're saying but Nick Brawl still looks like a PS2 game with upscaled textures/lighting

The devs are going for an appropriate art direction given the constraints/budget

MvCi did that poorly... plus it was a step-down from MvC3 which still looks GREAT 10 years later

I think this took me the longest. I hadn't really drawn an environment in this level of detail before, and I spent a long time trying to figure out how these different textures and forms "work" before I could utilize them!
