It's odd how I see people say modern Eggman is less egg shaped than classic, where I would argue his more oval-like body is still reminiscent of an egg. Maybe the head doesn't complete the shape like classic, but the shape is still there.

The original games were bright colorful adventures where Sonic had to fight crazy Eggman inventions, SatAM was a dramatic series that was very dark in terms of tone and visuals and sometimes characters would get caught be Robotized.
