I was thinking it would be funny if we had roller derby teams that were made out of fantasy creatures like dwarves and goblins.

This sort of narrative technique became popular in the 1950s in the wake of Cold War paranoia. We see it manifest extensively in pulp SF of the time (such as Philip K Dicki’s “Imposter”) or in many of the EC Comics werewolf stories (something Silvestri riffs on beautifully). 2/4

Painting at Bedtime.
Crucifixion.
Tintoretto.

This is 16th century Venetian artist Tintoretto's magnificent narrative painting of the Crucifixion and some of the events leading up to it. His handling of perspective, figures, colours and the narrative itself are all accomplished.

What’s soft, small, and tells a story? Plush dolls! These stuffed figurines of Havoc Fox’s characters can be collected throughout the game, rewarding players with narrative lore and backstories for the game’s cast and locations.

'Narratively better' is pretty valueless in a series focused on fighting when the climactic fight ends up being boring. Narrative should improve the fight, not hinder it.

And they make it easy to show when Hit is moving in timeskip. Lots of other manga also manage this (ie JoJo)

I think this is my main issue with this documentary. Yes, I get its point. And I agree. But Imelda and the Marcoses have controlled the narrative for decades. They still have a platform long after her husband was ousted. Nothing productive came out of them talking. Enough.

time. I make the webcomic Monster Lands. I guess you could call it a monster-of-the-week story, the narrative tropes evoke old adventure shows. I rope people in with the comedy before hittin 'em with the real stuff! Read it here: https://t.co/yInNSbRYnv

Updates from Jef Wu's gallery. I really love the color palette on his paintings, it's also really cool the way he paints clear walk-able / livable areas on those scenes, which always helps our minds to find possible narrative paths.
