@butchjpg Same face, skin, expression, body shape, etc. across multiple characters. I get same face syndrome is common but cmon. Wouldn’t hurt to try different proportions or non-white characters doing a different face other than “:0” with varying levels of blush, esp in the same artwork
I was encouraged to share this tool I use a lot when I make models/need to outline things. SO, I uploaded it to Clip Studio Assets! Shape to line auto action! https://t.co/tVUIALdTm3
【Crafting potions isn't easy, but it sure takes you to beautiful places.】
A quick digital sketch ~20-30 min. I love adding a little blobby witchy shape to doodles. Just need a wide brimmed, pointy hat-ish shape and you got yourself a nice little character :)
They started off sooooo goofy (first pic was made when I was 15-16 so hopefully they continue to shape up lol.
In contemporary cartoons I notice it more when the eye shape is hand-drawn (like on Star here), but the pupil-white-shines are clearly ellipse-tool shapes.
It's subtle, but it's a mark of two aesthetics that are at odds with each other.
@ArtsyLizzy82 I do a similar process, I sketch the hair shape first and then indicate hair strands with the colors! I'm a big fan of flowy lines like in this game art, though, so even though it's harder to color I can't help but go all out on the line art.
This isn't the case if you step back into the late 90s, when paint-on-cel was still a thing, and digital shape tools weren't as heavily in use. The PPG are constructed from *very* circular shapes, but none of them are math-perfect (because someone had to hand-draw them)
Mine is petty but I rly don't like when people just draw a regular belly button when there is a tight fabric over it. Unless it's vacuum packed to you it's not gonna form a perfect bellybutton shape. https://t.co/PeFW11ijxr
@AwsArtzzz Take your pick! Molly did get slightly updated to have her bangs fade in as opposed to sitting on top now and a new eye shape and muzzle fur
@soulbfirl @bara_moe_bitch here's something where I did it, I just like rlly sharp edges on my shadows and rim lighting so I just lasso fill the shape I want
Giving him a huge silhouette, big and imposing body structure/body shape and tall height as if he was taking domination over you. Enormous creepy smiling face with wide dark eyes, tiny pupils to give him a cold gaze with horrible intentions behind his thoughts and unnatural look.
@Sparkane_Arts decided to do them both! gave Sparky a dark/electric type tabby evo lmao, and Ori their respective constellation and a proper star-shaped brooch
