Dinovember Day 28: Dilophosaurus. Sorry, Jurassic Park. Dilos didn't have a frill or the ability to spit, but they did get their name from the 2 crests on their head and do have a liking for anything yellow.

Day 6 Love this Theropod. Contrary to Hollywood though, The early Jurassic Dilo did not spit poison, didn't have a neck frill and was much larger than a Labrador (much larger!).

Reminding everyone that Cryolophosaurus was an amazing theropod dinosaur of still somewhat uncertain affinities, although most likely it was closer to Dilophosaurus and coelophysids. It is from the Early Jurassic of Antarctica (Hanson Formation) 🇦🇶
