In 2014, a 5 year old boy called Michael Khomape drowned in a pit toilet at his school in Limpopo, South Africa. If he’d lived, he’d be 13 years old now, which is how I imagined him here.

Today is in South Africa. It commemorates the Sharpeville Massacre which took place in 1960, when a crowd gathered to protest racist pass laws. 69 people were killed and 180 were wounded by apartheid police. Permanent marker and lipstick on board.
