(2/4) Details about White Pichu were first revealed by Shōko Nakagawa in her 2013 autobiography. Shōko is best known as the host of Pokemon Sunday, and she's also Spiky-eared Pichu's voice actress in the Japanese anime. Shōko's even revealed White Pichu's official concept art.

According to Shōko Nakagawa's auto-biography, the Spiky-Eared Pichu was meant to be named "White Pichu" (ホワイトピチュー) instead. It was renamed to ギザみみピチュー (Gizamimi Pichu) (the Japanese name). Shōko is the Pichu's Japanese VA as well as a popular singer in Japan.
