The circus is in town, and we're heading into the big top tonight at 7pm CT! We'll be playing a ton of circus-themed games during the show, from disturbing C64 stuff to offbeat Genesis games! See you there! https://t.co/vjOTbk1ORN

I'm liking this C64 palette. 👍
The default VICE palette looks too bright without scan-lines. The Pepto-NTSC one I'd settled on was a bit drab. 🤔 I like the Hoxs64 colours (and that I can get a perfect 50Hz out of it) but I keep coming back to VICE with its drag+drop support. 🤓

look, it can be applied to C64, but I don't think you need to bother.

System 3

Founded in 1982, System 3 didn’t have a C64 hit until International Karate in 86. IK was followed by a run of superb games including Bangkok Nights, IK+, The Last Ninja, Last Ninja 2/3, Tusker, Myth, Vendetta & Turbo Charge. Blimey!

Accolade

Polish, superb graphics, clever touches & fab gameplay are Accolade's hallmarks. Hardball, Killed Until Dead, Law of the West, Apollo 18, PSI-5, Power at Sea, Grand Prix Circuit, The Train. Simply one of the best publishers of the era.

I really like Spindizzy.
It's like the arcades have Marble Madness..
But for the C64 we've got Spindizzy, and Spindizzy is better than Marble Madness. Different, but definitely better. 😎

First Star

First Star wasn’t prolific, but they released some of my favourite C64 games. The Spy Vs Spy games are superb (especially 1 & 2) but their crowning glory is the brilliant Boulder Dash – one of the greatest games of the 8-bit era.

I remember the jet-plane from the C64 version too. 😁
(Such a teeny sprite on that version. But that's fair enough, given that just about no-one will see it.)

Elite

Elite released a fair bit of mediocre software, but when they hit the sweet spot, they certainly delivered. Buggy Boy, Ghosts n Goblins (both ZZAP! Gold Medals) & Ikari Warriors are excellent & Commando, Batty & Airwolf are good fun too.
