One thing that threw me off was the fact that Anita’s pirate outfit was noticeably similar to outfits worn a few years earlier by other Johnston subjects (and Follies stars) in a series of magazine covers in 1922: Doris Kenyon, Billie Dove, Marie Prevost and Marjorie Daw.

This 1916 view of Abbey Street Lower captures the old Wynn's Hotel as rebuilt for the Clarence Hotel Co. in 1899 by architect William H. Beardwood. Every bedroom was heated by its own hearth. Note the outline of its former mansard roof. Francis Johnston's gutted RHA is next door.
