How is this? It still communicates the hair strand's original shape, but it no longer has strange placement that makes it look like any part of it is soley the outline of the eye, right?

I haven't experimented with colored outlines since October of 2020. I plan on doing more drawings like this, but don't expect a ton because this took me at least an hour and a half to do so.

Progress Update!
Lead programmer is currently working on a mock up of the core bullet-hell mechanic.
Story outline was finished a month ago. Since then I have been working on visual assets. Progress is speeding up in 2023! We hope to have a playable demo some time next year.

I spent most of the last year playing with a no-outlines art style, but the recent b&w strips, along with the work I'm doing on my graphic novel, have me falling in love with my linework again.

if your fursonas have.. very similar colors next to each other, please outline them in your reference :,) it is very hard to tell em apart. if you cant do this, at least point where the gradient starts or ends or tell me those are different colors :,)

-not having layer styles
-or good outline and glow options
