I also have Lullaby, a neutral good sorcerer of witch bloodline that is running from a life of slavery. She is smal and soft acts very polite/a bit formal. All with a persistent smile that is very eerie ... almost as if it hides dark emotion behind it.

Essentially yeah. TLDR, they were all fucked so she jumped ship to avoid slavery. This isn't quite all of it, though. I'd recommend reading the comics when you get a chance.
