My buddy and I did the Pinterest board swap thing where we send each other boards with specific aesthetics and then make characters based off them.

Meteor Storm is the map I made for Mindblood Genesis, the eighth Doomer Boards Project. It features a puzzle where the solution is only seen from inside the building it's in and another place where you have a choice between four items... if you don't get the secret key in time!

If you're curious about the imageboards: they were all drawn by Miki Takeshita after the scenario was written as the first visualization of this work, before any storyboarding. Easy to tell they played an important role defining not just the Hoshiai's mood but even body language

Hoshiai's Kanako speaks to the soul of *all* artists devoted to careers that aren't deemed respectable, but you can tell she particularly channels the frustrations of a very frowned upon field like anime creators & Hoshiai's own crew. She's basically redrawing their imageboards
