6 - highlights
i've only just really learnt how to do this lmao, but i make a new transparent layer and turn it to 'add' or 'add - glow', and then use the default soft airbrush to add some soft highlights, which sorta makes the image have a little more depth?

4 - colouring
i'll make the base white the colour most used on the oc, and then using the clip to layer below i can just add layers for new colours and they won't go beyond my base colour layer. i use the default turnip pen at various sizes for colours + markings
