good news: the PS1 font is pixel-identical to the arcade one, so I can just slot in the font and use the arcade images, which are much easier to deal with (since I can remove layers)

I'll tell you how I did it though, very simple to understand at a base level

Just find a nice cow print and then overlay it on the material

I feel like most people should be able to manage this much. It at most requires any drawing/photo editing program that uses layers

Then I add in a background and we’ve got a completed Sogetsu from Also because of the multiply layers I have to make sure the background doesn’t overlap any of my colors. So I use the magic wand tool to select any background areas on my ink layer before coloring.

Then I just color everything in. I make sure all layers are set to multiply so the shadows work. Then after it’s colored I add a layer above all the colored layers and do the highlights. I just use white and then lower the opacity a tad.
