I'm not really sure if I like the outlines, but I think they look a little weird without them. I also don't really like how Crono's face turned out, and there's a lot of different brushes I experimented with... I'm not sure. Here's a version without either.

If u mean me, then no. My artstyle are often highlighted, the eyes are brighter, the outline is with a diffrent tool and the most inportant their: i do put always my watermark in sketches or atworks...here are few examples what i mean just in case oo

Toon shaders and outlines work well with the old model as well. I really just think they need to down the intensity on both of them in game

i have some personal stylization rules for sprites in cycle! mostly that the active arm or leg will always have an outline if they're moving and hiding another body part, and the shading will always come from the top left. from there i keep going!!
