So I thinks to myself. Okay, well bye-bye elegance, I guess the decal just has to compute its OWN lighting/shading when it's applied.

I open up the Decal Shader Graph (Unity provides a 'Decal' master node, that's nice)

And I add in the cell-shading there.

The one without a background. I had SO much fun shredding up a wedding gown for this, and I gotta say that Kay's lighting and photography work absolutely slayed (wow that's a lot of rhymes 😅). Was really happy with how this shoot turned out, even with some wind machine mishaps.

The final run shot was composed of many MANY layers. Everything from the bushes to the the lighting was split into multiple layers and set at different depths and speeds in AE, giving that sexy parallax effect. The background is also fully loopable! (click to see just how wide)

This was my first time experimenting with fog and lighting effects this way (special thanks to @/GlitchKy for giving me advice)

I wasn’t sure at first whether I wanted Levi to have the whiskers and nose so I made 2 versions, here they are on their own along with the background!
