Second layer of colours down! Not sure how much it shows but I tried a lot of new things here :> I had a lot of fun working on creating an iridescent texture for the scale patterns, which was super challenging, but really fun!

People often ask me what the patterns signify - is it the earth or roots? The answer? All and none! I just love pulling colours and patterns together that symbolise nature, but by tapering the patterns and drawing the trees, it's more self-consciously a field with ploughed lines.
