Not really. For the big characters, yes.

Goku (not UI), 17, Vegeta, Gohan, Krilin and the ones like them they look wonky as hell. (not talking about faces but body proportions)

In fact I think the Kakarot artworks (not model cause they're awful haha) were pretty spot on.

But yessss - I love squat/stout proportions but coupled with big height. Honestly I think my favourite shape/build for Taly is from this pic by @/Muttontastic for that very reason.
