Potion the Ninth: Potion of @LEGDAY
Drinking this potion increases both the drinker’s vocabulary and skill at wordplay, but may also increase your chances of commenting on your opponent’s huge dick and the frequency with which you need to piss.
Putting naughty aliens in their place and showing Beff Jezos my dick rocket is bigger in NMH3. Link below:
@cosmo_blu @colonelspyder @theastrotyler @destiny_thememe Congrats, you can solo a quest mission! I regret to inform you however, that your dick is still small.
Scott McDaniel's last issue on the book until Nightwing Year One is a "team-up" between Nightwing John Law (the original Tarantula, now an old man living in Dick's building). It's presented through an embellished version of events written by John for his publisher, which is cool.
Later writers will have Babs act like Dick was too flirty with other women or something, but that wasn't the case. Helena kissed Dick here without his consent, and Babs shoots a glare at her, not him.
Dixon does this thing where he implies a history between Dick and Babs that just wasn't ever there. He had a crush on her in the 70s when he was in college. She didn't feel the same way due to the age gap. They certainly weren't a thing around the time she was shot.
Next issue is mostly Dick recovering from his ordeal while Babs takes care of him. It's a bit fan-servicey, and certainly the foundation for a lot of pre-2011 Nightwing fanfiction, but not necessarily in a bad way. It's built on 30+ issues of characterization.
Another thing this run does well to showcase that Dick is an actual human is have him get sore from all the beatings he takes every night, and catch a cold when he stays out in the rain and cold at night.
Dick's time in the police academy can basically be summed up by "he already knows all this, it's super boring for him." At which point, as a reader, I have to ask why he's doing it? I get that he wants to help more people, but his motivations to become a cop are flimsy imo.
Comic reading this weekend: #CommandersInCrisis #11 (the Cosmic Sepsis is consuming the world, and everyone is fighting everyone); #Nightwing #83 (Dick Grayson does something with his inheritance from Alfred that would make Bernie Sanders happy). #Image #DCComics
