I always think in big and simple shape. You can always add detail later by giving it a soft shade, blur some part of the hard shade, adding another color, etc

Learning about shape and light source is fundamental for shading!

Something that greatly amused me while learning Korean is that if you reply "I'm sorry" when someone tells you about an unfortunate event it sounds as though you are admitting you are the cause of the unfortunate event.
