@MoonKnight120 Small sample of enemies and their corresponding meshes and triangles in Terminator Future Shock. Also: They modeled whole levels (see 2nd and 3rd picture). So the poly count on every frame is quite high for a 1995 game.

in some sprites, like the skull, it's essentially treated as a single set piece and hand painted.
the walls are modular- a few different angles of gradients, etc.. they're manually palette swapped and flipped / rotated for variety and for angles of lighting.
shout/out the the admin model i sculpted and textured like 3 years ago that let me get all the face n hair angles right. makani said fuck anyone drawing to draw this hair when she designed her and i respect that.
